INDUSTRIAL PLANT
The industrial plant is located in General Roca, near the Negro River, where hundreds of farms cover the Alto Valle, forming an oasis in the Patagonian desert.
The region where the industrial plant is located is characterized by appropriate conditions for apple and pear production. Long summers, cold winters, Patagonian desert with an annual rainfall of about 200 mm, and an extensive irrigation canal system combine to create optimal conditions for growing pome fruit. Irrigation water comes from snowmelt from the Andes Mountains, and the dryness of the area keeps pest levels to a minimum, so pesticide use is low.
The production process consists of obtaining from pears and apples that cannot be sold on the fresh market, concentrated juices clarified to 70° brix that are used by the world's leading natural beverage manufacturers. The industrial plant has an installed capacity of approximately 800 tons of fruit per day, which is used at 100% during the harvest season (February-May), and during the rest of the year processing fruit that is stored in cold storage facilities in the area until the beginning of the new harvest.
